Our Story

A Legacy Rooted in 1955

Carico began when we organized the first small cooperative farms in the Bugisu region of Eastern Uganda — high on the slopes of Mount Elgon.

The families from those founding communities still cultivate every Carico bean today, tending the land their grandparents farmed.

TRUE PARTNERSHIP

Growers Who Own the Harvest

We produce our coffee in harmony with the local ecosystem, and the farmers who grow it are 50% partners — profiting directly from every bag sold.

Naturally farmed, inter-cropped, and grown without chemical fertilizers or pesticides, preserving the biodiversity of the Bugisu landscape.

The Experience

Specialty In Every Cup
